Lake Peruća

About

Peruća Lake is a hidden gem of Croatia, voted one of the 20 most beautiful lakes in Europe. Visitors come here to enjoy the fresh air, peace and quiet, to discover different bike trails, and swim in the warm water. It is the second largest artificial lake in Croatia and is located on the course of the River Cetina, bounded by Svilaja mountain to the southwest and Dinara mountain to the northeast. It is the third largest lake in Croatia by size. In addition to the spectacular nature, Peruća is also known as the place of origin of Croatian medals in rowing. Countless practice runs on the calm surface of the lake helped the Sinković brothers and Damir Martin win numerous trophies at the world’s biggest regattas, world and European championships, and Olympic Games.
