About
Town of Trilj celebrates St. Michaels Day annually on 29th of September. St. Michael is protector of the town therefore this is also known as the Town Day. Traditional Market on the streets of Trilj lasts for 2 days and it brings 100+ marketers from all around the country. This tradition has been ongoing for over 100 years now and it attracts tens of thousands of people so it makes it also very popular day to go out in the evening and have fun.
During Michaelmas, the city flourishes and becomes the center of meetings, trade and entertainment. At the traditional livestock fair, you can see and buy almost everything: from various handicrafts to farm animals. An interesting cultural and entertainment program is also held, and you can refresh yourself at almost every step.
The central event is on September 29, when Trilj celebrates the City Day and the feast of its patron – St. Michael the Archangel. A traditional procession is held through the city streets, and the celebration of Michaelmas is in full swing.
